United Airlines has scheduled its brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8 on more routes in a schedule update this weekend.

The latest aircraft to join United's fleet, the Boeing 737 MAX 8, began flying for the airline last month. This 737 MAX variant debuted United Airlines' new signature interior featuring upgraded amenities such as seat-back entertainment in every seat, larger overhead bins, and WiFi.

United Airlines' newest schedule change affected flights between October 31 and December 15, 2021. During this period, more routes will see United's new Boeing 737 MAX 8 including:

  • 1x daily Newark (EWR) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
  • 1x daily Newark (EWR) to New Orleans (MSY)
  • 1x daily Newark (EWR) to Chicago (ORD) (one-way)

According to United's updated schedule, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will fly once a day from Newark to Chicago O'Hare but not in the reverse direction. The aircraft will likely operate another route out of Chicago.

As for Dallas/Fort Worth, United will be showing off its signature interior with personal entertainment screens against American Airlines' waves of narrowbody aircraft that recently became void of this service. Despite being one of the busiest airports, DFW Airport currently only sees a single Boeing 737 MAX flight each day on American Airlines to its Miami (MIA) hub along with one-off services to other destinations.

Newark to Dallas/Fort Worth, New Orleans, and Chicago are just several routes that will see United's new 737 MAX 8 later this year. There's likely a handful of other routes that will also begin operating with this aircraft.
