Avelo Airlines is expanding its network by adding flights to Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS) in the coming months.

Starting September 16, 2021, Avelo Airlines will launch flights between Santa Rosa (STS) and Las Vegas with a 4x weekly frequency using its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The new route operates with the following schedule:

  • XP127 - Depart Santa Rosa at 10:05 AM arrive in Las Vegas at 11:45 AM
  • XP128 - Depart Las Vegas at 12:25 PM arrive in Santa Rosa at 2:05 PM

This represents Avelo's first nonstop flight that doesn't depart/arrive from its Burbank (BUR) base. However, the routing should be BUR-STS-LAS-STS-BUR to position the aircraft in Santa Rosa.

Within the past several years, Sun Country Airlines and Allegiant Air both operated the Santa Rosa to Las Vegas route. The two airlines no longer serve Santa Rosa. In 2008, Alaska Airlines (operated by Horizon Air) launched the LAS-STS route which operated for several years.

Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said "Our expanded service at STS demonstrates Avelo's commitment to providing the Bay Area with more choice and affordability in air travel. This new route makes it easier than ever for our Customers to visit the entertainment capital of the world from the region's most convenient and relaxing airport."

Avelo Airlines' route map has been updated to display the new STS-LAS route:
